Summary
Take an inside look at a PhotoRobot Studio photoshoot of Buffler dirt bikes and quads using the Turning Platform. This video showcases the workstation setup for a customer, the automation software, workflow, outputs, and total production. Watch as we join the CEO of Buffler to photograph 360s of 10 children’s quads, one full-size adult quad, and two dirt bikes. We manage this in a single PhotoRobot Studio session. That includes post-processing, optimization, and publishing of images with background removal perfect for Buffler’s website. Watch the video of this unique photoshoot to judge the productivity or yourself.

00:06 This video will be different to all PhotoRobot videos that we have made so far. Today, you will see some footage from a real-world photoshoot for a customer.
00:14 This is a showroom and we don't normally operate as a studio. But today, we made an exception, so that we can show you one of the big advantages of PhotoRobot systems: the fact that we can photograph larger items that many systems on the market would have trouble with.
00:29 This is the CEO of the Czech company Buffler, which sells quads, dirt bikes, and other small vehicles. And Buffler has asked us to shoot 360° photos for them because they know that the 360s increase customer engagement. So we will do just that.
00:53 The hero of this video will be this Turning_Platform, high-torque version. And the first thing you may notice about it is that it features the_Catwalk, which we normally use for virtual fashion shows. But obviously, that's not what we are going to use today to photograph quads and dirt bikes. To protect it, we have placed an additional layer of fiberboard on top so that we don't have to worry that the treadmill is going to get damaged.
01:19 Now back to what makes the Turning_Platform unique. One important feature is the above standard load capacity, but it doesn't stop there. This one is controlled using our proprietary control unit, which is actually quite a sophisticated Real-Time processing computer.
01:33 We could go crazy and give you all the geeky details about it, but for now, let us focus on one key feature: our non-stop spin. Let me show you the important difference between the way practically everybody else approaches 360° photoshoots and how we do it.
01:50 Now, I will ask our photographer Eric to show you how it looks when you're shooting 360s with gear other than PhotoRobot. Eric, go ahead. As you can see, in this mode, the turntable pauses to take each picture, or perhaps two pictures if you are using the free masking approach. Not only is it much slower, but with some items, it is downright impractical to have to accelerate and decelerate all the time.
02:16 And this is how PhotoRobot does it. As you can see, when done like this, it only takes several seconds to shoot a 360 of a quad. And while we're at it, we will also post-process and publish the results. This includes background removal, so the images can blend in perfectly with the white background of the Buffler website.
02:37 So it looks like we're done for today. We have taken 360s of ten children quads, one full-size adult quad, and two dirt bikes - all of them by the company Buffler. And each of them took us just slightly over a minute from the moment we placed them on the turntable, so we don't think it gets much easier or faster than this.
02:54 Reach out to us! And together, let's figure out how to bring the product photography in-house for you or streamline your existing product photography workflow. Thanks for watching.
